Micron Pen and Jelly Roll Pen

This is a combination of pen and ink, watercolour, pencil crayon, and marker.

Pentre Ifan is a megalithic dolmen located in Pembrokeshire. I sketched at a point when I hadn't sketched for some time and felt like I should. I didn't give it the time it deserved and didn't even erase the pencil marks. Definitely one I should re-sketch at some point.

I passed this old workshop numerous times going from Carmarthen to Drefach-Felindre. Eventually I parked up and took a photo so I could sketch it. I love old buildings like this which seem to be everywhere here in Wales.

First sketch I did in the 20 years since leaving school. The beautiful Cenarth Waterfalls on the border between Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire, Wales.

Pen and Ink

The Beastie Boys. It's ink on A3 paper. Normally I don't do fan-art, but I got inspired after watching the Beastie Boys Story.

Poor little sapling that was in our drive. I pulled it and the roots were so beautiful that I had to draw them.

Meet Dr. Lorna Breen. She was in the trenches of the front line inside the New York hot zone during the first wave of the pandemic. She saw the massive influx of patients she knew she could not save (29,000 deaths reported in April, 2020). She contracted the virus and after recuperating, went straight back to work. A week and a half later, the hospital sent her home. Her family intervened to bring her back home to Charlottesville, Virginia. During her visit with her family, she seemed “detached.” She passed away April 26, 2020 at the UVA University Hospital in Charlottesville from self-inflicted wounds. I sketched Rob on a hot Saturday morning when he was also sketching. Our focus was The Shine Dome, which is having it’s copper roof replaced.

Tell that do you will do. "English as She is Spoke" is a delightful example of incompetence and bad judgement. Jose da Fonseca and Pedro Carolina set out to write a Portuguese-English phrasebook. The only problem was that they didn't speak any English. They did know some French and armed with French-English phrasebook, dictionaries and enthusiasm they brought forth this phrasebook. Mark Twain was an early admirer of this book.
